A British biotech firm is running an experiment in Brazil to fight the transmission of Dengue fever using transgenic mosquito. This disease is a recurrent problem during the summer months, but this year’s epidemic has been particularly severe.

The situation is worst in the country’s most populated state, Sao Paulo, where a record 220,000 people have been infected.
