Historic droughts are occurring around the world. The United States, Brazil, North Korea, South Africa and parts of China are all experiencing much lower-than-average precipitation.
Severe dry spells in the U.S. state of California have forced residents to dramatically reduce their water usage.
California is the most populous U.S. state, and if it was its own country, it would be one of the largest economies in the world. Farmers in California are struggling to maintain their crops. CCTV America’s May Lee filed this report on the direct impact California’s situation has around the world.
