Guatemala’s former President and Vice President are behind bars, facing trial for allegedly taking millions in bribes in exchange for helping companies avoid paying import duties.

While that corruption scandal outlines how Guatemala’s elite have further prospered, there is another story to be told: that of smaller businesses and groups, struggling to pay their import taxes.

CCTV’s Franc Contreras filed a story about one such non-governmental organization that has seen great success, but is now financially threatened.
