Separate from last month’s reported emissions’ issues, there are more bumps in the road for Volkswagen. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission launched it’s own investigation into Volkswagen’s new diesel models.
- 2016 diesel models are currently being tested for certification by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Volkswagen had hoped to get the new models on the market to help move past the ongoing emission scandal, but now those plans are on hold.
- Volkswagen officials have scheduled a closed door meeting in Germany Thursday to discuss personnel issues at the company and to figure out the next step in moving past this scandal.
