Tech startup provides accessible, affordable education

Global Business

In Brazil, students are required to take standardized tests to attend college. But prep courses are so expensive that only wealthy students generally take them. Now a tech startup is making them more accessible and affordable.

Descomplica, a Brazilian education tech startup, is now helping millions more students with an accessible e-learning business.

Teachers record and deliver eight hours of live-streamed content seven a days a week to students who need to prepare for the mandatory tests to enter a university in Brazil.

Descomplica has tripled revenues year to year since its founding with online classes and a catalog of 15,000 videos. It is now considered Brazil’s largest classroom.

CCTV’s Lucrecia Franco reports from Rio de Janeiro.
