New information is showing Mercedes-Benz and Fiat were involved in the so-called dirty war in Argentina between 1976 and 1983, when tens of thousands were killed under a military dictatorship.

Investigations into the private sector’s role in crimes against humanity are revealing a much broader perspective on Argentina’s dirty war, but as the new government assumes power this week, there are questions over whether or not it will continue digging into the past.
