Climbing parks being recreated in US downtown areas

Global Business

Climbing was once considered a niche sport for those with the time and means to reach some of the world’s most remote spots. Not anymore. It’s booming as some of the most inaccessible drops and overhangs are recreated in some of the most accessible places.

In Chattanooga, a converted cinema is now the largest downtown climbing center in the U.S, covered with walls outside and in.

The U.S has around 350 facilities like it, but there’s still plenty of growth.
