Global Business

Around the world, especially in Asia, Korean TV dramas have a huge and sometimes obsessive following.

Now, there’s a new web series that focuses on how far K-Drama fans are willing to go, and it’s getting a lot of buzz worldwide. CCTV America’s May Lee reports.

Dramaworld is a 10-part web series shot in the U.S. and South Korea and is exclusively on viki.com, a video streaming website, which is part of Japan’s Rakuten Group.

The series is a co-production with China’s Jetavana Entertainment, a company founded by Chinese industry veteran Ivy Zhong.

So far, Dramaworld has released four episodes on viki.com and fans already are buzzing online. Jetavana is already talking about a Chinese spinoff.
