Young refugees join Boy Scout troop in Colorado

It’s been around for over a century and has a rich history. With well over two million members, the Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest youth organizations in the U.S.

One of the more unusual scout troops is located in the state of Colorado. It’s members are all refugees. CCTV America’s Hendrik Sybrandy reports.

On a chilly recent Saturday, members of Boy Scout Troop 1,532 huddled around a roaring campfire in a Colorado state park. Boy Scouts and outdoor activities are synonymous, have been long before anyone here was born.

The troop consists of nearly three dozen youngsters. None were born in the U.S.
