The Chinese magic sprinkled in Disney Resort

In less than two days, Shanghai Disney Resort will have its grand opening. The park has incorporated many Chinese elements that make that Disney magic extra special.

CCTV’s Hu Nan takes a look around.

In The Garden of 12 Friends are the Chinese Zodiac signs represented by Disney characters. It has already proved a favorite selfie spot during the soft opening, with tourists unable to resist a moment with their own zodiac.

Disney characters will be performing Tai Chi every day in the afternoon, in Disney style.

Mulan, the only Chinese heroin in Disney animations, gets the spotlight in the tour of wonderland. Flags and martial arts dancing accompany her on stage.

The Peony, China’s national flower, has been applied to the castle spire, the floor tiles, and even gives Minnie Mouse’s skirt a floral flair on the Disney stamps issued for the grand opening.
