Haiti’s catastrophic earthquake in 2010 demolished much of the island’s already fragile infrastructure. Despite over 10 billion dollars in donated aid, struggles and poor conditions persist.

Port-au-Prince, the capital, was decimated by the natural disaster. Victims like Yola Thurvil, who ran an orphanage for young girls, were forced into the streets to live in tents.

Correspondent Stephen Gibbs travels to the hard-hit island nation six years later. He’ll assess the quality-of-life for Yola and her girls today. Stephen also speaks to a mother named Michelle Zami who saw her house collapse in 2010.
