AU Summit 2017 28th annual African Union Summit

Representatives and leaders from all over Africa are gathering in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this week for the 28th African Union Summit.

Issues like the economy and security will be on the agenda.

And, with the recent change of leadership in the Gambia, and several major elections ahead this year, political change in Africa will likely be part of the discussion, too.

CGTN’s Deji Badmus has the latest from Lagos.

To discuss the summit and what are the essential policies and priorities for Africa in 2017:

  • Beatrice Marshall, CGTN anchor for Africa Live and Talk Africa.
  • Kayode Ogundamisi, a Nigerian commentator on African and international affairs.
  • He Wenping, professor and director of African Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
  • Adel Mahrouky, CGTN Cairo Correspondent
