Civilians bear brunt of casualties in western Mosul

The advance into western Mosul is on hold, because of concern about rising civilian casualties.

Officials are investigating reports that dozens of civilians – possibly as many as 200 – were killed in a U.S. airstrike last week.

CGTN’s Tony Cheng reports.

Local residents said scores were buried under collapsing buildings. Despite the fighting, some have chosen to remain.
