Michael Voss

Michael Voss has been based in Cuba since 2007 after Fidel Castro became ill and handed power to his brother Raul. Since then, he has reported on the political and economic changes along with a broad range of social and cultural issues.

Michael is a veteran foreign correspondent who has been covering Latin America since the mid 1990’s, when he was the BBC’s South America Correspondent.   He spent almost 20 years with the BBC before joining CGTN News. During that time he covered the Iraq War, war in Afghanistan, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Russia and the Balkans.
