Overcrowding in Prisons Raises Concern

Brazil has the one of the world’s highest prison populations, with some of the most overcrowded jails.

Over the last year, there have been over 200 documented murders of inmates inside Brazilian prisons. Human rights groups say an urgent overhaul is required. CCTV’s Stephen Gibbs reports from the central prison in Porto Allegre.
