People around the world are leaving quiet farming towns for booming cities. Experts say this is happening faster than at any other time in history. The areas are called ‘megacities’.
Megacities have a population of at least ten million people. Right now, there are about three dozen of them. They include New York, Tokyo and three cities in China. By the year 2030, there will be about 50 megacities.
