The Heat

It’s a plot worthy of Hollywood. A man working as a government contractor downloads state secrets, flees the country in search of asylum while selectively leaking material to a friendly press. Snowden’s disclosures have embarrassed the U.S. government – both at home and abroad, forcing the Obama administration to reassess and reform a policy put in place after the September 11th attacks. CCTV’s Anand Naidoo interviews William Binney, described as one of the best analysts and code breakers in NSA history on Edward Snowden’s latest promise to release more material on U.S. Spying.

Anand Naidoo talks to former CIA agent and best-selling author Robert Baer on NSA revelations by Edward Snowden.
