Mother Remembers Son Killed in Gun Violence

Insight

Think guns and the United States, and your next thought might be about mass shootings. There have been too many to count here just in the past decade. Wednesday people in the state of Virginia paused to remember the 32 students and faculty who were gunned down seven years ago at Virginia Tech University.

In 2012 a shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut left 27 students and teachers dead. There have been, not one, but two shootings at the Fort Hood military base in Texas. And the 2012 shooting at a movie theater in the U.S. state of Colorado left 12 people dead, including Alex Teves.

CCTV’s Sean Callebs talked with his mother, as part of our continuing series examining guns in America.
