UN Holds Annual Debate on Sexual Violence

The United Nations says, rape has become a destructive and pervasive problem. The secretary general’s report identifies 34 armed groups in 21 countries suspected of rape and sexual violence, including government soldiers. With more than 20 conflicts raging around the world, the Security Council met to discuss recommendations put forward in a new report. CCTV’s Nick Harper reports from the UN headquarters in New York.
