Pro-Russia Rebels Release One International Observer

Pro-Russian militants released one of the eight international observers held hostage since Friday. The freed observer was from Sweden and was released on medical grounds. But the rebels said they don’t intend to free the remaining prisoners.

As Western governments vowed to impose more sanctions against Russia and its supporters in eastern Ukraine, a group of foreign military observers remained in captivity Sunday, accused of being NATO spies by a pro-Russian insurgency. The German-led, eight-member team was traveling under the auspices of the Organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe when they were detained Friday. CCTV’s Kate Parkinson reports with the latest developments.
