This year so far,  automakers have recalled about 11 million vehicles in the U.S. alone. And no brand is immune — even luxury vehicles are included.

Experts say high number of recalls are due in part to a more complicated manufacturing process and software related glitches. But they also attribute it to frayed nerves at car companies.
