No Survivors Found in Afghanistan Landslide

In Afghanistan, rescuers have given up on finding any remaining survivors from two mudslides. At least 21-hundred people are feared dead. Rescuers have now turned their attention to the four-thousand people that have been displaced.

International aid organizations are sending food, tents and medical supplies to the landslide survivors in Badakhshan province borders Tajikistan to the north and China and Pakistan to the east.

Hundreds of Afghan volunteers helped search for victims buried under the massive landslides.

CCTV’s correspondent Cem Sey reports from Kabul. He says there is little chance of finding survivors now and rescue teams lack the equipment they need.
