Chinese Premier Says, Africa Remains Priority

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang continues his first Africa tour on Tuesday. He has arrived in Nigeria’s capital Abuja.

Premier Li with his wife Cheng Hong, recieved a warm welcome at the airport. He is scheduled to attend the 2014 World Economic Forum on Africa in the Nigerian capital. Before Nigeria, Li also went to Ethiopia, where he visited the headquarters of the African Union and delivered a speech to expound China’s Africa policy.He has made it clear that Africa is China’s number one priority and significant partner. He announced a $12 billion aid package during his speech at the African Union headquarters.
