A Nigerian father also believes that word of the impending attack had leaked out before Boko Haram stormed the school building. He claims that some parents who worked at the school were tipped off in advance.

“Some students, those their parents are staff in the school, nothing happened to them, because I was told that they were informed earlier so they check(ed) out their daughters, they sent them home and left. We that are not staff and we don’t know what was happening there, not every student was kidnapped,” he said.

Mark has two daughters who are among the missing. He says that the girls were held in a camp only a few kilometers away from the school for eleven days… but claims the government did nothing to try to rescue them.
