SOUTH SUDAN CRISIS

Developments in South Sudan, where in spite of a ceasefire deal, the army says at least 27 rebel forces have been killed, after they attacked government positions in Unity state.

But rebel forces have accused the army of violating the truce, less than 24 hours after a peace deal was signed. CCTV’s Robert Nagila has the latest from Juba.

The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for a special tribunal for that country, saying there are grounds to believe crimes against humanity have been committed since widespread violence began five months ago. He warned that if violence isn’t halted in South Sudan, famine or mass deaths lie ahead. His remarks come as the ceasefire agreement, signed by the warring parties was broken hardly a couple of days later.
