U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew met with senior Chinese officials in Beijing. China’s economic slowdown and currency issues were on the agenda. Yin Hang reports from Beijing. Secretary Jack Lew is on a three-day visit to China ahead of an economic summit between the two countries. On Tuesday he met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and other senior Chinese officials. The currency issue has topped their agenda. Lew raised concerns over China’s exchange rate reforms. China’s Vice Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao said recent fluctuations in the RMB reflected its market demand and the country’s exchange rate reforms are on track.
