What’s been an extremely reliable way of keeping time in the U.S. is about to get even more accurate. A new atomic clock just unveiled in the state of Colorado promises to be the most accurate time standard in the world.  It’s a scientific development that has some old-time time experts shaking their heads. In an age when life seems to move faster than ever, when progress is accelerating like never before, scientists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology have come up with the most accurate civilian time-keeper yet. Say hello to the NIST F-2 atomic clock. For the past 15 years, the NIST clock has kept the world synchronized to one uniform time. Computer networks, cell phones and power grids all depend on it.
