Chinese President Xi Jinping will chair the 2014 CICA summit. The two day event will focus on increasing dialogue, mutual trust and collaboration to build an Asia that is peaceful, stable and cooperative.
Regional Security and Counter-terrorism will be the highlights of the discussion.
President Xi met with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon leading up to the summit. He says political dialog is the right way to resolve heated issues.
On cyber security, Xi says the UN should introduce rules on sovereignty and transparency, and respect the concerns of all countries over information safety. He added that China will firmly support the work of the UN in cyber security.
