Europeans are voting to elect 751 members in the European Parliament. With 375 million registered voters, the elections could have a major impact on the future of the European Union.
The elections stretch all across the 28 states that make up the European Union. However, with a big spike in anti-EU sentiment and anger over years of economic problems, polls suggest there could be a significant change in the make-up of the new parliament. CCTV’s Jack Barton reports.
For an in-depth discussion on the European elections, CCTV’s Anand Naidoo is joined by Ulrike Guerot, a senior fellow at the Open Society Initiative for Europe; and John Hooper, Southern Europe Editor for The Guardian.
