Donald Sterling is turning his ownership stake in the Los Angeles Clippers over to his estranged wife, and she is in talks with the NBA to sell the team, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told a news agency on Friday.
Many are angling to line up for control of the basketball team. One figure interested in the team is Chinese basketball great Yao Ming.
The former NBA player, along with a group of wealthy Chinese investors, hope to make a serious play for the team. However, another person may be closer to nabbing a deal. Mark Barger reports.
