Chemical Weapons Inspectors Escape Attack in Syria

A team of international weapons inspectors came under attack in Syria Tuesday.

It happened while they were traveling to investigate the alleged use of chlorine gas by government forces.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons has been working with the United Nations to eliminate Syria’s chemical weapons stockpile.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry ensured that following its commitment to the agreement, to receive a mission from OPCW. It had informed the mission that the Ministry agreed on a ceasefire in Kfar Zeita village in Hama’s northern suburb.

One of the mission’s cars was exploded with a bomb two kilometers away from Tibet al-Imam village. The team included five Syrians and six members of the mission. CCTV’s Nick Harper reports.
