The leader of Colombia’s largest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, says the guerrilla group “dreams” of peace.

Speaking in a video message to mark the 50th anniversary of the group’s founding he warned, though, that FARC fighters had not been defeated. The FARC formed in 1964 and is the largest active guerrilla army in the Americas, with about 8,000 members still in arms.
