The field of bionics, along with the potential to enhance the strength of the human body, is sometimes the stuff of science fiction.

But one company in Northern California has made the concept a reality. It’s developed a suit that simulates the human exoskeleton, allowing paralyzed patients to do some miraculous things.

Similar technology was first used for military use  where the Human Universal Load Carrier, of HULC, allows soldiers to carry up to 200 pounds over long distances. But then co-founder Russ Angold got the news that his Navy Seal brother had broken his neck, losing the use of his arms for several years.
