Supporters of President-elect, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, continue to celebrate his landslide victory -- though some question his legitimacy -- and the vote. CCTV's Adel El Mahrouky has more from Cairo.

Sisi’s supporters continue celebrations. From fireworks to dancing–It’s been a near-constant celebration for Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s supporters. Braving the heat, they’ve been gathered in the iconic Tahrir Square. And they’ve come from across Egypt to celebrate the president election.

Nawara Naseef, Giza resident, said: “We are happy that Sisi is our new president and we want to show him we’ll support him. But he must take care of the people, the poor people, for long we have been suffering.”

Ismail Goda, Sharkiya resident, said: “Me and my wife came walking all the way from Zagazig to congratulate the people of Egypt and congratulate the country.”

His supporters have been partying since Wednesday, even though official results hadn’t been announced yet. They’re expected on Wednesday.

Suzan Gameel, Cairo resident, told the reporter: “We are celebrating our new president, El-Sisi. We voted for him and we don’t need official results. He has won a landslide victory. No president has won the amount of votes that Sisi did.”

Zohdy Belbesi, Sharkiya resident, also responded: “This Wednesday the entire republic will be in the streets with the announcement of the official results.”

Hundreds of supporters gathered in Tahrir Square to celebrate Sisi’s victory for the third continuous day. But they say they are just warming up for the official announcement.
