World Cup 2014: Goals coming at a quicker pace than usual

World Today

The goals at this year’s World Cup have been coming at a furious pace. And if you think there are more goals scored this year than in previous tournaments, you’d be right.

In the first 25 matches, players scored 73 goals. That’s more than any other World Cup since 1970. While some credit a coaching strategy that favors offense, others point to the ball itself. CCTV’s Joel Richards have the story.
