Chinese internet speed accelerator Xunlei debuts on NASDAQ

A month after e-commerce giant JD.com’s successful IPO, another Chinese tech giant is making waves at the NASDAQ.
Xunlei, one of China’s largest internet companies, closed out its U.S. debut just under 15 dollars.
That’s more than 24 percent higher than the firm’s initial offering price of 12 dollars.
The digital content provider’s IPO raised 88 million dollars.
Xunlei is know mainly for its speedy online video service, but the company is expanding to include gaming and pay per view options.

But before Xunlei was able to finally list in the U.S., it had to strike up a deal with the Motion Picture Association of America.
It had to agree that all its digital content is properly licensed.
