This year, the rich history of China and Kenya is on display at the annual Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C.

With more than 100 Chinese artists, it’s an opportunity for China and the U.S. to bridge cultural divides. While those in the U.S. know about China’s ability to export all kinds of good, it’s a look at history, and long-treasured ancient crafts.
