The bombing that happened last week at a shopping mall which was blamed on the Islamist group Boko Haram, has led Nigerian authorities to advise people to avoid crowded areas such as viewing centers for the World Cup.

Boko Haram has decided that watching football is anti-Islamic, a suicide bomber struck one viewing center in northern Nigeria in the opening days of the football tournament.

Although some said they would not have fear over going to watch Nigeria taken on France in one of the team’s biggest matches of the World Cup, citizens were wary.

Although a significant decrease in the ongoing attacks may be unlikely, Nigerians seem confident that their government is doing what it can to contain the Boko Haram.
