The World Cup has brought global focus on all things Brazilian, but the worldwide culinary trend known as ‘churrascaria’ has proven to be even more successful with tourists than football or samba. The tradition started in southern Brazil, where mastering the art of cooking meat is a rite of passage for the male population. With the influx of tourists in Brazil for the World Cup, some restaurants are reporting up to a 50 percent increase in sales.
