In Brazil, an eatery dedicated to football

Americas Now visits one place where Brazil's glorious World Cup spirit is on full display. Bar Sao Cristovao. This eatery is dedicated to football and has existed for 14 years. It was founded by Leonard Prado, a lover of football, who used to collect memorabilia.

Alex Soares, a waiter at Bar Sao Cristovao says the images are gifts. “He used to keep his collection at home, but had this place and slowly started bringing things to the restaurant,” he says, referring to Prado.

“Anything he’d get, he’d just bring it,” Soares said. As far as the World Cup goes, he hopes anyone who visits here during the games will get a little history in football from everywhere.

“Every corner of this bar is a little piece of the world and of Brazil. That’s the story of this place,” Soares said, predicting 2014 will be a very surprising year at the World Cup.
