Former Pennsylvania judge Mark Ciavarella sentenced hundreds of thousands of kids to jail for a total of $2.6 million from juvenile facility owners. CCTV's Wu Haojun reports.

A documentary called “Kids for Cash” released this year exposed the actions of the corrupt former judge, which went undetected from 2003 to 2008.

Ciavarella reportedly had kids and their parents sign a document that waived their right to ask for a lawyer, leading to countless unjust sentences. He was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison in 2011, and his accomplice Senior Judge Michael Conahan was sent to jail for 17 years.
