Growing international demand for U.S. dairy

China's appetite for dairy products is driving a revival of the United States dairy industry. CCTV's Natalie Feary reports.

Although dairy farmers in the U.S. have seen hard times over the past few years, the entire U.S. industry has recently seen growing international interest.

The U.S. exported over $700 million worth of dairy products just to China in 2013, which is seven times the amount of exports since 2006.

Dairy exports are expected to rise from the current $5 billion per year to $8 billion per year within the next five years.
