Some MH17 victims’ bodies returned home

Ceremonies were held in Amsterdam to mourn the lives of the plane crash victims as the first bodies were returned to the Netherlands. CCTV’s Dan Whitehead reports.

The total number of bodies recovered was 282, according to Ukrainian authorities. Several hours after Dutch investigators demanded it, the first of the bodies were brought by train and plane back to the Netherlands.

The bodies of the 298 victims, most of whom were Dutch, have become a part of the conflict in Ukraine because they could hold evidence of what brought the plane down on July 17 as it was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
