Russia denies charges of shooting down MH17

Russia is angry at the U.S. and Ukraine’s allegations that it shot down flight MH17. CCTV-America’s Tony Cheng reports.

The U.S., however, says there is evidence that Russia has been shooting artillery and moving heavy weapons across the border. Russia denied this charge, and said that Ukrainian forces have infringed on its territory.

Securing the over 2,000 kilometer (1,242 mile) border is nearly impossible. Russia is suspected to have supplied separatist rebels with weapons systems, including the missiles that brought down the Malaysian airliner.

The violence at the Ukraine-Russia border continues amid this debate over the origins of the tragic plane crash which killed nearly 300 people.
