Two more planes arrive in Netherlands with the remains of MH17 victims

World Today

It’s been more than a week since Flight MH17 crashed in Ukraine. Officials from the Netherlands and Australia are still trying to secure access to the area controlled by pro-Russia separatists. More victims’ bodies have been flown back to the Netherlands with nearly 200 now in the country. CCTV-America’s Dan Whitehead brings us this update from Amersterdam.

As the gruesome task of returning the body parts to the Netherlands continues, around 74 more victims were returned to the Netherlands, bringing the total number here now to around 188.

There are reports that another flight on Saturday will bring a lower number of victims, the final ones which were taken by train. And those of course are the ones that have been found so far. We understand that there are still many victims unaccounted for and the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has announced he has dispatched 40 unarmed police officers to the crash site with the sole purpose and aim to locate those final remains.
