China announced investigation of eight senior officials on Wednesday. Among them, two provincial level officials were removed from their post. One is Tan Li, vice-governor of Hainan province. Former vice-curator of the Beijing Zoo is also among the officials under investigation. These high ranking authorities are accused of bribery and serious violations of rules and discipline while holding public office.
