Kiev welcomes new sanctions on Russia

Heavy fighting in Eastern Ukraine has prevented investigators from reaching the crash site of Malaysian Airlines flight 17 for a fourth consecutive day.

The failure of those investigators to access the scene of the crash was one of the reasons given by U.S. President Barack Obama for imposing heavier sanctions on Russia Tuesday.

The sanctions were welcomed in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev as an indicator of support from the West. CCTV America’s Tony Cheng reported from Kiev.
