Eighteen-year-old Lily Zhang is the No. 1 table tennis player in the U.S., and ranks 51 in the world. CCTV America’s Mark Niu has more, weeks before the Summer Youth Olympics take place in China.

Zhang has a chance to do quite well at the event, and the Chinese-American will also get a chance to play in the country of her roots.

She has already competed in the 2012 London Olympics, but at 18 years old, this is her last chance to compete in the youth games which take place on August 16.

Although she is headed to the University of California, Berkeley this year, she still contemplates a professional career in table tennis.
