NATO forces will withdraw from Afghanistan by the end of 2014, which will add new security pressures on China’s western border. CCTV America’s Han Peng reports on the Chinese military effort to prevent terrorists from entering their country.

Terrorists from groups such as Al-Qaeda, the Tabliban and the Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement have set up camps just outside China near Khunjerab. Also known as Death Valley, Khunjerab marks the borders shared by China, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Terror groups have not stopped attempting to get into China after training in Afghanistan, and this concern worsens with the U.S.-led NATO forces withdrawal from the country.
