Making a living as an artist is considered one of the riskiest professions out there. And technology has often times made the job even more difficult as one’s work gets spread to wider audiences sometimes with very little payoff. A new site, Patreon, is formed by artists and looks to be giving them a better future. Mark Niu reports from Silicon Valley.
